Meke is my daughter!

I passed court today -- that means Meke is officially and legally my daughter! (Since I can now post her pictures on the Internet freely, my blog is available to anyone that links to it - you don't have to log in.) And, I found out that I could travel as soon as 3 or 4 weeks! I will be very busy during that time making preparations at work, for the trip, and at home for her arrival. I can't believe it's so soon! Before I know it, I'll be dressing her in all those adorable little dresses and outfits I bought for her and bummed from my sisters.

As much as I'm overwhelmed right now, I do believe in the adage "Let go and let God." What did I hear a while back that resonated with me? I believe it was that all the things that are happening in the adoption journey are confirmations from God that we are on the path that was laid out for us. I do know that I'm following my path. The path is just a lot steeper here at the end!

Now that little Meke has a forever home, she needs a forever name!
